You go through life as you let it fly by. And when you’re confronted with your friends mortality all of a sudden you feel like you didn’t have enough time with them.
We can’t forget someone, so we don’t truly lose them.
a friend in need is a friend indeed… 09VII21 • #victoriabarberlin #LossOfAFriend (at Schöneberg, Berlin, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRNIo0HLTiv/?utm_medium=tumblr

Sometimes a kindness can make one want to cry... this has been a sad morning in our house...my husband and I lost a great friend yesterday afternoon to Covid-19....a man of immense goodness, intellect, and generosity and known by many in the NYC art world..these masks were sent to me as a gift all because I answered back with an explanation on a question @lindgrensweetpeas had asked on a post I did about stepping stones...she has an Etsy shop and has been making these masks and sent me 4...this type of unsolicited kindness made me want to cry....cry because of her sweetness, cry because of the loss of our friend..cry because of the suffering MANY across our land are feeling due to the loss of loved ones or friends...it is a hard time for all of us right now but there is a glimmer of hope that the goodness of people will help us prevail...the goodness of thousands of people sacrificing their lives to help others in hospitals, driving ambulances, feeding those without homes...helping neighbors...sending masks....thank you @lindgrensweetpeas ..your kindness is a pick me up I needed! #deborahgibsondesign #lindgrensweetpeas #covi̇d19 #NYC #lossofafriend #protectivemasks (at Greenville, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-2EOhbjKPz/?igshid=1lhxkixzeryk7
I woke up to get ready for work to find out that not only had I lost someone I had considered a friend but the world had lost an amazing person. I’m sitting here crying like a baby because I don’t understand why it’s always the good people that go too soon. I was seventeen years old, doing my first play when I met Donnie and he truly left a positive mark on my life then. He was always kind, funny, intelligent, and out for doing the right thing. A little over 14 years later and things only matured as I did, I just hate we never had the opportunity to become better and closer friends. Donnie was a good person and left a mark on so many. He touched lives with everything he did whether you were close or not. The last time I saw him in person, he still greeted me with a hug and called me his Romanian Princess. He was trying to do so much good in this world. It’s not going to be the same without him, definitely a lot less brighter. We are short a warrior for the good guys now. I’m going to miss you a lot, Donnie. Rest In Peace and see you on the other side. I don’t know if any of us will ever be over it. I will just wait for you to make some kind of supernova in the sky or something. Either way, you will always be my undead husband. My heart hurts right now and I’m trying to stop crying though it breaks the most for you family. I will be keeping your family in my thoughts, especially your nieces as I know they were your world. Loss sucks no matter how close you were with the person and today this song and these lyrics are for you, my friend. I await your supernova and last goodbye. #lossofafriend #rip #goodbye #loss #lossofalovedone #restinpeace #supernova #writerslife #friendship #restinpeacemyfriend #goodbyesucks #imissyou https://www.instagram.com/p/B5-RbyigBNM/?igshid=1xhh2k1mcc7r1
This morning, I woke up with a terrible news... A great friend has passed away 😥 Was an absolute shock to hear he’s gone! I’ve been trying to recall our memories since morning and the worst part is remembering, we missed out of catching up on my last visit cuz he was out of town and my visit was short😭😭 This is the most regretful part cuz I don’t even remember when was the last time we hang out like old days! Don’t wanna believe it was 7 years ago when I first left 😢😢 Been digging my laptop for our last photos together and found this... Back in 2008, when you tried to make my 20th more memorable bro😔 Rest In Peace Shahin 🖤 #RIP #flashbackfriday #missingyou #FBF #lossofafriend #childhoodmemories #childhoodfriend #friendssinceforever https://www.instagram.com/p/BsMhN8Vgm6s/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=11h5po38vw1uw
“The only thing more exhausting than having a mental illness is pretending like you don’t.” (Tess Linton) In the year of 1969, a time when mental illness wasn’t acknowledged nor taken as a serious matter, more so than the present day. Two young women in an all-girls school, Lydia and Abbie, are the best of friends. One day, when Abigail “Abbie” Mortimer’s mental illness goes untreated, dies whilst still being pregnant after a night with a young man who “had a nice car”. Abbie’s death greatly effects those who loved/adored her, and those who were burdened by her, including her dearest friend, Lydia Lamont, in Carol Morley’s Mystery-Drama, “The Falling” (2014). 😃🏫 Having seen nearly all the films of David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Ingmar Bergman, and very few of Andrei Tarkovsky’s work, it’s safe to say that Carol Morley’s #TheFalling was quite a bizarre viewing experience. 😐 As bizarre and hyper-silly as the tale told can be at times, it was strangely sentimental and intimate, it truly was. There’s a lot of heart and soul to be found in this mysterious, ever so wondrous film here. Maisie Williams, as Lydia Lamont, captures the symptoms of a person who suffers from mental illness beautifully. Some would accuse her of “faking it”, but in all honesty, how the hell would they know?! 🤨 The simple fact that mental illness is ignored and not taken as a serious matter is beyond sickening.... Maxine Peake, Monica Dolan, Greta Scacchi, Lauren McCrostie, and Joe Cole are excellent in their respective roles as Eileen Lamb, Miss Alvaro, Miss Mantel, Gwen, and Kenneth Lamont. That of course, brings me to my favorite character of the film, and the love of Lydia’s life, Abigail “Abbie” Mortimer, portrayed sensationally well by Florence Pugh! 😍❤️ As much praise as the story, performances, direction, soundtrack, and cinematography may receive, Ms.Pugh stands as the central highlight for yours truly, and yes, I do indeed have a crush on her! 😁💘 #TheFalling #MentalIllness #LossOfAFriend #LackOfAttention #AllGirlSchool #BestFriendsAreForever #SpecialBonds https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo1cN-aBc-e/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1r9gzkhfmo0y7
