Absolutely gutted right now... the world lost an amazing human, far too early. Daniel aka @taskonerus (as most of the toy community knows him) passed away this morning and caught everyone completely off guard, in total disbelief - most importantly to note, leaving his wonderful wife, daughter and step-son behind - I can't even imagine. I met Task so many years ago through the designer toy scene... pretty sure it was through Leecifer Gajda possibly back in 2008, but did that man make an impression on me. Pretty mysterious back then as he was still trying to hide identity because of his graffiti... but over the years, he softened up to having his photo taken, and from living in a warehouse (when I first met him) where he was just doing art, to marrying the love of his life to having his daughter - his life took a complete turn and to see how happy he was the past 8 or so years made me SOOO happy for him. Shoot... he even made the cake toppers for my wife and I's wedding (which sit displayed in our room and have so much more meaning now) We had awesome times together with the ToyFam, spending countless hours talking, eating, and laughing... I could always get Dan to laugh so hard, man... so many fond memories. I could go on and on about Dan, and his immense talent, how quiet he was when he didn't know you, how much of a jerk he was if you were on his bad side, how kind he was when he was your friend... what a loss. Please enjoy some of these photos that I unearthed over the years... and I am sure I have 100's more. Rest in peace, buddy... I'm sooooo glad we got to hang out and talk at this past Dcon - a memory I will always remember. #TaskOne #taskoner #riptaskoner #riptaskone https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp1N11urSqx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
