A belated acknowledgement that the great sci-fi artist Tim White has died (it happened in April). White was a prolific illustrator of paperback covers — for the likes of Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Heineken, and Frank Herbert — from the mid-‘70s through the late ‘90s. He excelled at landscapes and architecture, putting him in somewhat the same category as Roger Dean (both of them did box art for Psygnosis computer games). His health declined in the 2000s and he died soon after his 68th birthday. Farewell to a great artist. .
