On June 13th, 2017 Tommy Le was shot and killed by deputies in Washington state a few hours away from his high school graduation. The initial report of the killing stated that several 911 calls about a reportedly armed man prompted the dispatch of three deputies. A homeowner that called 911 said that he fired a warning shot in response to Le approaching him with what he thought was "a knife or some sort of sharp object" before fleeing inside his home. The Sheriff's Office stated that Le pounded on the door and "stabbed" it with the sharp object. After tasers were deemed "not effective" Deputy Cesar Molina shot Le 3 times. Le died of his injuries at a hospital. About a week after the shooting the sheriff's office revealed that the "sharp object" was actually a pen. Le's family and friends are struggling with questions surrounding his death and the story coming from law enforcement. Me had no criminal record and showed no signs of violence or mental illness. Deputy Molina was placed on administrative leave but was approved returning to work on June 30th. Tommy Le's death was the first of three fatal police shootngs in the Seattle/Puget Sound region this June. Five days later Charleena Lyles was shot by two Seattle Police officers and Giovonn Joseph-McDade was killed by Kent police. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To support Tommy Le's family go to this site: https://www.youcaring.com/tommyle-874946 ----- "Tommy deserves justice and closure.
