5 were caught within a dream

Dreaming.

He was dreaming. An ephemeral, windy feel through his fingers. A soft sensation filling his body, soft, light, as if flying. But that was no dream of his. No. It was someone's elses dream. He knew it because there were few things he dreamed of. Either with Haruka-san or..., he smiled sheepishly, Or a butterfly. But there was none of it. There was only silence.

Until he met them.

A little girl in frills and pigtails certainly didn't belong here. 

He watched, statuesque, as she made slowly through the alley, picking her way through the garbage and grime that littered the tarmac. There was something off about this one.

He shifted, hesitating, before tailing after her in the wash of darkness, eyes glinting in murky starlight.

Humanity was only a by-product of decay, but he'd be damned if it trash wasn't fun to burn.
