APRIL.11.2017 (MIDNIGHT!) / track 6: LOST BALLOON 🎈/ Wrote this gem w. THE Adam Levy @stringjuggler - who also played the guitar on the song. I remember coming into the session asking "can we write a Beach Boys & Beatles ballad vibe?" we then wove a story together & it felt so spontaneous. We finished the song in 2 hours (which rarely happens). I have many favorites but the "B section/Bridge" in this song (songwriting lingo) is one of my faves that I've been a part of writing. 🎶❤️ #RiseAtEventide
APRIL.11.2017 / track 5: FRAGILE feat. the lovely @indiaarie / Less than a week away, y'all! 🎶 One of the triggers that led me to add this @theofficialsting song last year - was due to the suffering happening in Syria (and still ongoing). 2016 was a lot to process & I could list 100 more reasons why I chose this song. The lyrics spoke to me even though this was written decades ago - truly a sign of a classic. This single was released back in JAN.19.2017 and I'd say, it was the BEST surprise that came up for the project. So gracious of you, India, to lend your incomparable voice. I catch myself asking, "wait.. this really happened!?" 😭 Forever thankful. 🎶❤️ #RiseAtEventide
