Headcanons for Ritsu x Shinobu (Mao introduced them).

→ ritsu has heard lots about how adorable and hardworking shinobu is, and he already loathes him - who is this first year to steal all of mao’s attention? when they’re introduced, ritsu is very cordial in front of mao, but hisses and spits at shinobu in private, effectively terrifying and scarring him.
→ even with spiteful ritsu is, shinobu is determined to make a good impression on isara-dono’s precious childhood friend, and would dig up the courage to squeak hi at ritsu whenever he sees him or present him with pillows whenever he finds ritsu sound asleep on the hard ground.
→ grudgingly, ritsu too sees shinobu’s charm, and accepts him. they start off fanboying over mao all the time, but slowly slip into a casual friendship with a lot of head-patting. there’s an mature appeal of ritsu that shinobu appreciates, and he starts to dream of falling asleep in ritsu’s arms; at the same time, ritsu begins to fall for the all-too-innocent shinobu because how couldn’t you? he’s too adorable, ritsu thinks.
→ shinobu’s little dream soon becomes reality, as ritsu insists on cuddling with his boyfriend, and often abuses the whistle shinobu gave him to call for him at any time just to snuggle with him to sleep. as shinobu is held firmly in place, he’ll scrunch his face as ritsu peppers him with sleepy kisses.
→ ritsu really doesn’t like shinobu’s long bangs, and even though shinobu says it’s for safety reasons, ritsu complains that shinobu can’t see his boyfriend’s face properly. at least once a day he’ll cup shinobu’s face and tug at his cheeks before pushing his hair aside to - guess what? - press kisses on the forbidden side of shinobu’s face.
→ shinobu is two years younger and much more energetic than ritsu, to the point that in the day he will spring around and do stunts before ritsu. but in the night he tires out like a child, just in time for ritsu to swoop in and piggyback shinobu home. shinobu feels so secure in strong, nocturnal ritsu, and the walk back home after their cafe dates are the best part of the whole day.
