Somebody actually edited the entire prequel trilogy and took out Jar Jar and every single uncomfortably awkward scene between padme + anakin. my brother showed me it and it is crazy
no no no see i HATE those “correction” edits because they remove what the dudebros behind them deem to be “cheesy” - aka like. every moment between anakin and padme, aka the couple of the movie, which is based on them, having a relationship and it’s like. you fucked up a perfectly good movie is what you did.
it’s based on this idea that like ? the prequels are lesser bc of their focus on the relationship when they are l i t e r a l l y about that relationship. fans of the action and adventure of the OT couldnt stomach the romance and they took matters into their own hands, succeeding only in missing the point completely. good job fake geek boys.
i love the awkward scenes between them? showing him as this awkward stumbling unsure teenage boy was my favourite thing the prequels brought forward bc 2 me it made him so much more relatable(tm) if you’ll forgive the term. i mean the point of the prequels was to show the person behind vader, right? you take awake the fumbling young boy from the movie and make it about some stoic clever jedi knight then you might as well also edit out the other 110 minutes of the movie because there is no point. like hey guys you don’t gotta like the movie but can you keep your disgusting hands off it please
sorry you probably didn’t mean 2 provoke a rant but i hate those edits nearly as much as i hate jar jar binks and i want them removed from star wars nearly as much as i too want jar jar binks removed from star wars
