Getting really pumped for the next Wardance show, THIS Friday in DALLAS! It's an all ages show at RBC with one of my fave bands of the past 10 years, Cross Stitched Eyes. If you're unfamiliar, they play a style of punk that's a mix of hardcore and deathrock, intense and fast but with spooky moments, inspired by Rudimentary Peni, Killing Joke, and Amebix. Members have previously been (or are) in Zygote, Subhumans (UK), UK Subs, Smartpils, Alaric, and others.
One of the best dark punk/deathrock bands in North Texas, RITUAL ORDER, will be opening; so will dark postpunk Wardance alums AZTEC DEATH. Spencer Baxter will be playing a lot of classic punk, '82 style hardcore, and deathrock before and between bands. The legendary Evan Henry will be doing visuals on the walls for the show.
