River, I saw you the other night down at the pier, you looked...distracted.
This one reads less like gossip and more like an unfinished thought someone couldn’t shake. “River, I saw you the other night down at the pier, you looked… distracted” isn’t an accusation—it’s an observation loaded with curiosity.
Because distracted doesn’t mean careless. It means preoccupied. Like something was pulling at you harder than the moment you were standing in. The pier is already a place people go when they’re thinking too much, and seeing you there like that makes it feel intentional. Like you were working something out, or avoiding it entirely.
Whoever sent this noticed a version of you that didn’t feel performative or put-together. And that’s usually what sticks with people—the moments when someone looks like they’re somewhere else entirely, even when they’re right in front of you.
