Violet eyes glint in the sun with familiar warmth, smiling at the man stalwart beneath the canopy of gold and green and crimson of the fortress garden. Leaves and frost crunch lightly underfoot as she crossed from the stone threshold into the walled off grove.

He was a little older now, she cannot help but note, his face a little more drawn. A weight to his shoulders that seemed a little heavier beneath the weight of his armor. But she knew the sight of him all the same. Dearly, unmistakably him.

"You have been able to recover without much trouble, I hope?" she pried gently, hands folding neatly in front of her. Nanna knows he cannot abide too little decorum of rank, but the warmth in her smile gives voice to the unspoken sentiment. It gladdens me to see you. "Company may be a tad mixed for your tastes, but it would most assuredly drive the Crestwood rains from you."
