Good morning! The homestead is filling out nicely : three indoor cats, three permanent outdoor 'strays', two female #muscovy ducks and two hilarious, silly goats. Plus we have planted raspberries, plum, apple, potato, onion, all manner of herbs, kale and mushrooms!! My amazing neighbor Linda, who walks/hikes most every day, shared her Stinging Nettle ( Urtica dioca) Sightings with me!! Nettles make great tea, fresh or dried. Lots of vitamins & minerals, can be used as dye, made into fabric, helps with joint pain and they can help decrease the symptoms of seasonal allergies.. just to name a mere handful of their amazing uses. A huge, Huge Thank You! To everyone who has Donated to the “Help feed the Critters” fund via the etsy listing. Its been tricky keeping up 🙁 please keep in mind these cats ‘came with my new house’ & i have been scrambling to come up with shelter and food for them 💞 and i want to be able to continue to get them flea meds/vet visits 💞 Even One Dollar helps, seriously.. One dollar from each of you would be enough to pay for vet visits, building sleeping “boxes”, laundry (the boys pee on all the blankets and bedding 😿) and quality food. Right now i also keep two heated outdoor beds & a heat lamp for them… i cannot wait for it to warm up! Thank you for helping make life better for these critters 🌲💚🌲 #riverhavenstrays
