The new Oklahoma City State-of-the-Art Olympic style Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking Center adjacent to the Oklahoma River in the RiverSport Adventure Boathouse district is a must see and do for all whitewater fans. I haven’t even been on a trip down the Rapids and I already love it. Just watching the athletes and rafters go through it looks like so much fun and also looks like a great workout for all. Heck, I was sweating just watching them navigate the rapids all with a smile on their face. The facility opens with grand fanfare on Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8, 2016 where the public can cheer on Americas top athletes in the 2016 US Olympic Team Trials – Canoe/Kayak Slalom. Meet Olympic athletes, try interactive experiences, and watch USA Rowing on the Oklahoma River in the Team USA Road to Rio Tour. There will also be live music, food, beer and wine, firework displays and adventures. The Sandridge Sky Trail zip line and super slides will also be open. The slides are the tallest and fastest slides in Oklahoma maxing out at 72-feet. This is a great addition to a top notch city.
