Hara felt nervous. Very nervous. She never preformed in front of a crowd alone before, or at least this close to being alone. Butterflies weren't even patting her stomach anymore they were slamming into it. Amber was a close friend of hers, and one that shared the same passion for being an idol as her. Unlike her, she preformed for others on the street plenty of times before. Well, a lot compared to Hara anyway. And she mentioned to convince her to preform with her as well, though a lot of negotiation had to be done. They had to pick a song that Hara could a) actually sing b) sing well and c) in Korean because Hara's English really shouldn't be trusted.
But even with all of these things on her side, the girl was a nervous wreck and couldn't see anything going right. She was so bad, and there were so many people watching. It didn't take long for Amber to nudge her on the shoulder, handing her a microphone. They had added a small interlude at the beginning of the song, as well as lowering it quite a bit so Hara wouldn't sound like she was screaming from pain while singing some parts. The interlude was mostly because the singer could never catch on quick enough and would always end up off beat, which was definitely a no-no. Once her time came, Hara took a deep breath and begun singing, her heart pounding so loud she wouldn't be surprised if the mic picked up on it,
A Bitter Day,
다 이렇게 지워가겠지
언제가는 잊혀지겠지
나 그제서야 웃겠지만 지금은 나도 어쩔수가 없네
Okay, that was it. That was the only part she had to sing alone. People were looking now. She wondered if that was a good sign. Maybe they just thought it was so bad they had to see it for themselves. Or they could just be intrigued by their looks. Honestly, either one worked, really. She just wanted this to be over with.
Amber's first rap was finishing, time for some belting Hara thought to herself.
A Bitter Day,
She continued repeting the main line of the song during the next part. It was better now, Amber was harmonizing in the background during Hara's part so it sounded nicer. This felt better for Hara since, if all else fails, she could just drop it and let Amber do all the work.
That's what friends are for right!
A Bitter Day,
Now there was just a bit of humming to do and the last verse to go. As of yet everything went smoothly. This last part was tricky though. Because of Hara's limited belting range, she couldn't hit one of the last notes. She came up with an alternative though, one to simply switch into a softer voice there instead of during the last line. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. She would just have to wait and see, fingers crossed.
A Bitter Day,
다 이렇게 지워가겠지
언제가는 잊혀지겠지
그 날이 오겠지
Finally. Hara thought she did well on it, but of course she could never be too sure. Usually when she thinks her voice sounds nice it sounds terrible to others. But she did it, she preformed with Amber and it was all over now. A part of her never wanted to do it again, but the other wanted to try it alone. She'd have to improve first though. After that, only time could tell what her decision will be.
rkamber said: [/runs towards the other until finally facing him] Y-yeah [/pauses for a bit, holding up the item again] This was on the floor over there, I thought it might be yours considering you’re sort of the only one here.
-a half smile quirked up at one end of the teenager's lips, his smirk evident as he discreetly run his eyes from the female's figure, speaking absentmindedly- Oh, hey.. -returning back to his normal self after his quick daze, he stared at the watch in bewilderment- The heck? Did I really just dropped that? -chuckling his way out of his embarrassment, the lad rubbed the back of his head out of habit as he spoke with a bashful smile replacing his once sly smirk- Yeah, I think that's mine.. Didn't notice I lost it, my sister would definitely kill me if she founds out..
Yo! [/she cries out to the person in front of her, pulling out a beaten watch from her pockets] Is this yours?
-stopping from his track as a voice boomed across the empty hallway, the young boy’s head swiftly craned the opposing direction where he heard the voice originated in curiosity, quietly speculating if the female was indeed calling out to him- Huh? You talking to me man?
