it’s not as if kai is scared of spiders ... it’s just that he’s NOT A FAN of them. he understands that they’re good creatures and that there’s a legitimate purpose to having them around in this universe. ( he CAN’T understand for the life of him how those wretched creatures called cockroaches are still around. ) but RIGHT NOW ? dear god, kai’s really not equipped for this. he’s not equipped to handle killing a HUGE spider that’s now quickly roaming around the living room. and yet here he is, standing with a can of bug spray in one hand and a broom in the other; TRYING TO HELP soeun with the spider problem. it wouldn’t be too much of a problem IF the spider wasn’t moving, but alas his luck because the spider was moving — fast. “oh my god,” he squeals a little as he quickly sprays but misses as he spots the spider dash on by. “this STUPID spider won’t stop moving away from me.” he exclaims, trying to follow the creature.

     so far, handing out flyers to people as they pass her by hasn’t given her any trouble at all, her time doing so having already been filled with familiar faces who were more than willing to offer her support. it’s a nice feeling, knowing she’s got people in her life, whether they were incredibly close or not, cheering her on in her new start as a trainee. that validation only serves on strengthening her motivations, and as she catches sight of a girl nearing, she’s quick to approach with confidence and an easy smile. “hi there, would you like a flyer for trc?” she speaks with attention, a single brow rising with her question as she holds out a flyer. “it’s got information on the company, as well as dates for events and contact details. if you’re ever interested, this might be good to have.”

toil and trouble.

It’s not his idea, which is what’s prompted him to drag his feet, shuffling through the door at the last possible minute. He’s planned his whole weekend around the community center events, so it’s not his ongoing struggles with time that’s cause his near lateness. Jisung wouldn’t say he doesn’t want to be there at all, just that he’s no good with unfamiliar situations, and perhaps that little bit of uncertainty has blossomed into minor anxiety.

His entrance isn’t cause for much attention, as everyone is focused on the initial instructions, which Jisung is grateful for as he slinks to an empty spot. It’s not even moments later that he suddenly finds himself next to a girl that looks mildly welcoming in the way of strangers who’ve grown familiar after prolonged exposure, though Jisung for the life of him can’t come up with a name to go with the face. “Hey. I... had no idea we’d be doing partners, so I think I should, uh.  Apologize in advance? I’m pretty much useless in a kitchen.”

. i’m beginning to feel like a rap god

there was always something interesting going on at the mall at the weekends. it was almost like a rule that there could be a boring weekend. so, when hohyeon had the time to take away from his schoolwork, he always tended to go for a visit just to see what was happening. while he often came back empty handed, it was just some time to spend to himself. (and feel regretful that he didn’t have any money to actually buy what he wanted). 

as he had predicted, there was something happening, a small stage had been set up and a crowd was starting to form around it. of course, hohyeon got interested, inching his way closer and shouldering past a couple of people to get to the front to see what was going to happen. and when he read the sign hanging up, he couldn’t help the grin which started to spread across his face. rap diss battles. now this was something he could get behind. 

“this is wicked,” he spoke aloud, excited grinning to whoever happened to be standing beside him. finally, something for rappers and something he might be able to take part in. and he would, but for the time being, he was going to watch, see what the competition was like. “you going to have to go?” he continued, eyes finding the stranger next to him again? “i probably am. not every day there’s something for just rappers.”
