after all the nice weather they had been experiencing, it was a shame that it was now just tipping it down with rain. the skies were all gray and murky and everyone was hurrying along to avoid getting too soaked. and the weather really was ruining his mood. he had been planning on heading out to film one of his experiments that morning, but the weather was rather getting in the way of that. and now he found himself with nothing to do. and it was rather upsetting as he was someone who got bored all too easily.
he found that he couldn’t just sit around in his apartment doing nothing, so jordan had decided to try and brave the rain all the same. but he had quickly given up with that idea as soon as he started getting heavier and was now just stuck in some cafe with a warm hot chocolate, forehead pressed up against the window as he watched the rain fall outside. “why does it have to be raining?” he whined almost mournfully, moving his head away from the window with an almost pout on his face, “rain sucks. it just ruins all your plans.”

to say he’s excited is an understatement. he’s thrilled, ecstatic, in fact. for the first time, he’ll be appearing in a youtube video! well, not the very first time; he’s been in numerous videos before, most of which are recordings of him at go tournaments or in the interviews that follow shortly thereafter. all of those have amassed a few thousand views over the last several years, but nothing particularly impressive. this video, on the hand, is sure to draw attention.
( even though @rkyunho doesn’t have that many subscribers -- but that’s okay! suwoong’s planning to create fifty accounts and ghost-subscribe anyway! )
they’ve decided to perform.
and for once, it’s not a ballroom dance performance.
no, suwoong has elected to sing, and yunho has prepared rap -- which is something he, himself, would’ve never expected, since yunho looks much too soft for rap! ( then again, so does yien from convex, so looks really aren’t a reliable indicator. )
as the camera starts rolling, suwoong bounces upright on one of the recliner’s arms, a bright smile on his face. “hello, daisies, and welcome back to our channel!” he has always wanted to say that and had insisted for days to do so, even though this is yunho’s channel.
once they’ve made their brief introductions -- which is primarily suwoong talking very quickly about irrelevant things -- he clasps his hands together and announces that they will be performing < you can rest > by crucial star, of which he cheekily adds, “as you can see from the title of this video.”
and with that, they settle into place.
in truth, he is not much of a singer. he has performed in the comforts of karaoke nights, fancy dinner gatherings, and -- most importantly -- his very own shower, but he’s never taken lessons. then again, he doubts yunho had taken lessons on rap ( do those even exist? he’s not entirely sure, but if so, perhaps he should do a lesson . . . lest it ever becomes relevant for him to rap later, ha ).
it’s not, by any means, a perfect delivery. in fact, it’s far from it. but having practiced together with yunho over the last two weeks, he finds stability in his voice. his mother would most definitely appreciate this cover, though she may scoff a bit at rap. a traditionalist, that one. but she’s surprisingly more receptive than his father, who he’s sure would recognize yunho immediately and comment on the other’s choice to pursue vocal performance over an esteemed ballroom dancing career.
the song finishes with a harmony between the two -- something suwoong had insisted on, seeing that yunho’s voice sounded rather nice against his own. and with that, he closes with “please rate, comment, and subscribe, lovely daisies!” another line he had insisted on saying, since yunho does need more of each.
