giving it a second thought, seunghun doesn’t feel that inclined to read more about astrology. not when his quick research about compatibility with that other zodiac sign didn’t look good at all and he decided to act like it wasn’t a thing. “no, you know what? sometimes it’s better to not know things,” he concluded with another shrug. the stars could do their thing up in the sky and he would focus on not messing up things here because reading stuff would only make him overthink things and that’s something he was avoiding lately. 

his lips curved upwards as he listened about jordan’s approach to the evaluation. maybe he should take mental notes and learn from the other guy, because he was pretty sure his friend would do just fine and probably didn’t burn all his brain cells thinking and doubting his choices. “well that’s your thing, after all. you can surprise us without even wanting to,” he said, considering it a gift as a performer. really. “it’s an acoustic version but i’m thinking about adding some beatbox,” his eyes were still down at the phone as he looked for the file. normally, he would take the safe road, but for some reason he wanted to experiment with this. “here! let me know what you think…” he pressed play and turned to the other, trying to read his thoughts through his facial expression.

astrology was just not his cup of tea, though he knew full well there were people out there which read into this kind of stuff with rising moon signs and whatever the hell that even meant. but, to jordan, it was all just nonsense and he really didn’t think your date of birth and the star sign you were born under actually meant anything when it came to your personality. in fact, he was quite sure this evaluation proved that. “people who really care about this kind of stuff can keep looking into it if they really want to, but i think that once glance at the webpage is just enough for me.” 

was surprising the coaches really his ‘thing’? come to think of it, that did sound about right for him. surprising them and making them want to pull their hair out whenever he showed up with his next new and crazy idea. though he wasn’t completely convinced that he could actually manage that without even trying to. “well, i do like to keep people entertained,” entertaining people was his whole deal, it was why he started up his youtube career to begin with. just the thought of bringing joy to people did bring a smile to his face and absolutely loved doing it. “beatbox? really?” he was a little surprised at that suggestion, but he wasn’t going to turn it down, done well it could actually be pretty cool to listen to. and when the music played he was quiet, listening to the song as he slowly nodded his head. “i think you could pull it off, mate,” he reasoned after a moment, “sounds good.”

“Well, I guess it’s better than sitting around, doing not much of anything,” she grinned, though she didn’t really have a problem finding something to entertain herself, usually. But anything was better than being alone, not that she’d ever actually say that. “Gotta seek a bit of a thrill every now and then, right?” she joked, after all there hadn’t really been much to it, no trainer walked by, no one wanted to get into the room or anything like that.

“Sure thing,” she answered, preferring to leave the building for a bit of time as well Sometimes it was interesting how plans could change so unexpectedly, yet turn out for the better. “Have you been there before?” she asked. It didn’t really matter too much, she figured if it wasn’t any good, he wouldn’t have suggested it and if he hadn’t been there before, they’d soon find out.

“anything is better than just sitting around, not doing much of anything,” he offered with a laugh, “but i assure you, helping me out with stuff is always going to be ten time more interesting than anything else you could be doing. potentially ten times more dangerous as well.” maybe he was being a little over the top with things, but he was generally speaking the truth. standing watch for him while he borrowed a microphone when no one was looking was thrilling and more interesting than doing something else. and that was pretty tame compared to other stuff he had done. 

at least the cafe was picked really easily and his companion for this little venture didn’t have any complaints against it. all that was left was to drop the bag with the mic off at his locker and then they could get going. “yeah, i’ve been a couple of times before. it’s on the way back to the bus stop so i usually grab something on the way home or the opposite when i’m coming in.” though he wouldn’t really say he was a regular, only rarely drinking hot drinks. usually he preferred buying a cola from a 7/11.

hyuna wasn’t the type to judge a book by its cover. it’s bitten her in the ass way too many times for her to actually learn a lesson. so her being asked such questions wasn’t new. during the mga’s that had happened a lot of times, where someone looked pretty nice and innocent and ended up showing their teeth. it made the idol almost shiver. so who knew.

she nods her head at his questions “yes, i very much think so.“ she says, smile pulling on her lips. at the mentioning of the game she nods her head again “it’s a pretty savage game.“ hyuna admits. “are you playing with your friends or strangers? your friends might know you better and be sure that you are not trust worthy you know?“ she asks, brow raised “when i play it with my friends, we usually kick out the suspicious people even if they aren’t the imposter.“

he knew he couldn’t really be too mad about it, it was just a game and he knew the people he was playing with were just messing with him. probably on purpose. and no doubt they were all having a laugh by constantly killing him first or voting him off regardless of his innocence. but it was starting to just get a little bit annoying now and he would actually like to play the game and not just get insta murdered or instantly voted off. 

“i’m going to use that for a reference,” he teased with a grin, “hyuna thought i was handsome.” of course he was actually joking and wouldn’t actually go around saying that. “but yeah i’m playing with some of my mates. so they probably just know me too well,” if it were just a bunch of strangers ganging up on him he would probably be a little more pissed off about it. “but at this point they’re using the fact if i’m alive or not to know if i’m guilty. if i’m not murdered first then i’m the imposter. it’s honestly impossible.”

“That, you did,” she half-smiled in return. “If you need to… borrow something again, you know where I am,” she winked, quite in contrast to her previous doubts. Really, she wasn’t exactly a “lawfully good” kind of person, but rather acted the way that would benefit her most. But the building held tons of microphones, so one missing for a night shouldn’t be too much of a problem, or even get noticed in the first place.

She nodded in answer, very much looking forward to coffee any time of the day. She saw coffee similarly to how she expected a machine would feel about it’s fuel, if a machine would’ve been able to. And once the microphone would safe, it would finally be coffee-time, a lift to her already rather light mood.

“Any place you’d like to go?” she asked, not caring too much, coffee was coffee either way.

he did have to grin just that little bit wider when she ever so casually offered him her help again if he ever needed to sneak out something else. “and here i thought you were still against being a lookout,” he responded with a laugh, hoisting the strap of his bag a little more up his shoulder. “end up having fun?” though he didn’t really see how just standing outside the door on your phone could be much fun, he wasn’t going to judge. or complain about the extra help she was willing to give him. 

not wanting to hang around for much longer just in case someone came along and got suspicious, jordan started to lead the way back towards his locker so he could store his bag. it wasn’t that much of a walk, and then they would be free to go and grab some coffee. “no, i didn’t really have anywhere in mind,” he responded as they walked, shrugging a little at the posed question, “i know there’s this cafe just a little down the street, we could go there? just to get out of this building for a bit, you know?”

♠ Surprise! ♠

Having Jordan in TRC was definitely going to add more excitement to training. Even if he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do yet, Beomgyu knew that having Jordan training with him made things a little easier. Things were never dull with Jordan and Beomgyu could already see the things they will get up to. While they probably couldn’t do as much of the things that they used to, there was still so much they could get up to. Beomgyu was down for anything and Jordan knew that. He was already anticipating the shenanigans the duo would participate in and the thought excited him. He was already getting antsy.

❝ Are you calling me fat, hyung? ❞ He asked, pretending to be hurt by the other’s words. Beomgyu had heard stories about the trainee life and how extreme it was and now that he was one he was experiencing things first hand. Not being able to eat as much as he’s used to was going to be hard but if cracked then he’d just need to dance more to burn off any fat. ❝ I have already been told what I can and can’t eat so, ❞ he shrugged.

Beomgyu rolled his eyes at the other’s dramatic actions. ❝ I’m not being loud. This is the level I usually talk at, ❞ he pouted. ❝ You should because you love me and it’s what friends do. ❞ He grinned cheekily. ❝ Eating is all I think about. Eating and dancing. ❞

no doubt things were going to get more interesting around the trc building now that this had come to pass. jordan wouldn’t be surprised if tiger jk ended up regretting signing the people he had in the end. if he didn’t already from the thigs jordan had managed to get up to in the seven months that he had been a trainee already. then again, maybe not as he had been given opportunities like getting to mc for the s-pop channel and he liked to think people enjoyed his wackier performances. he hadn’t gotten told off for any of them anyway. 

“maybe i am,” he teased back, just grinning and poking the tip of his tongue out at the younger boy. in reality, no, the boy was not fat in the slightest, but that certainly didn’t mean he was going to pass up on the chance to tease him about it all the same. “you may have been told, but the question is are you actually going to be able to stick to the diet? or are you going to be one of the ones to try and sneak in some snacking while everyone else isn’t paying attention?” jordan wouldn’t lie, he had been tempted to do just that on more than one occasion. especially after a hard and rigorous training session in the dance studio or the gym. 

jordan shook his head, “nope, defiantly being loud. you just can’t tell.” again, it was not really the truth, but jordan was just having a little bit of fun. “love you?” he raised a brow, “i don’t remember ever saying that. i just put up with you because you won’t leave me alone.” maybe in different circumstances that could be seen as a really mean thing to say, but beomgyu knew that jordan was just joking. at least, he hoped he knew. “if that’s the case you really need to get some new hobbies.”

hyuna was never to judge a book by its cover. especially in the music industry. there were so many hidden gems within the trainees, too bad she didn’t get to see them train and do evaluations anymore. however, she definitely didn’t expect to have such a conversation during lunch. it wasn’t unwelcome tho. she makes herself comfortable across jordan, placing her tray and frowning ever so slightly.

“you have a very cute face, pretty handsome as well. why untrustworthy?“ the rappers asks, reaching for her water bottle and taking a sip from it. in reality, hyuna herself has been told she looks way too fake and untrustworthy, aftercall, who would be running after her dream of debut so so long? “did someone say that to you, or is it just a question?“

maybe it could be considered rude just to impose these sorts of questions on people. it was not really like he and hyuna were close friends, they had only occasionally said hello in the hallways of trc. but that was why she made the perfect target for his question. they weren’t friend and she didn’t really know him all that well so would be able to say what she really thought of him from a first impression. or maybe she would just say something nice to avoid hurting his feelings and seeming rude. 

“handsome? you think so?” he couldn’t help but grin just a little at this news, suddenly feeling rather self-important. though he wasn’t the biggest fan of being called cute, but he decided not to press the matter. instead, he simply shook his head, “no i’m just wondering. you know the game amoung us? every single time i get voted off first, even if i’m innocent. i just don’t think people trust me very much.”

the first thing jordan did when he saw the members arrive on set was congratulate them on their recent debut

it just seemed like the right thing to do. he couldn’t imagine it would have been easy having to debut date set the the teasers all coming out and then the whole thing suddenly being put on hold for another couple of months. he supposed it must just be a relief to all of them now that they finally could say they were debuted and now it was just all about getting the exposure the company wanted, which was why he supposed they were here right now. and jordan was not going to disappoint and was going to make sure this was an entertaining episode for them and one he was sure the fans would enjoy as well. 

“i really enjoyed the song,” he made sure to add, smiling at the guys as he greeted them, “it was an instant add on to my playlist i have to admit.” it was not the natural sort of sound you heard from the industry and that was something he liked about it. sometimes the typical sounding song could get incredibly boring, so it was nice to have something fresh and new. he just hoped that kt stuck with that and didn’t just go back to making songs which sounded the same as everything else.

“but don’t worry too much about today,” he went, on trying to calm any nerves about how this might turn out, “i’m sure it’s going to be just fine. you just have to be yourselves and completely embarrass yourselves more than i already am wearing a dress, a wig and pretending to loudly snore in the background.” joking seemed to always help the mood, especially as he was sure they were nervous about things as this was probably one of the first variety performances they were filming as their debut had only been just over a week ago by the time they were filming.

one last smile as he bowed again, “but i’ll leave you to get ready. i need to get myself all nice and pretty.” and with that he turned on his heel and headed to the small dressing room in the back to get himself ready. though it only took a moment to put the wig and dress on, taking one last look at himself in the mirror provided before he was heading back towards the main filming to take his usual position on set on the rather comfortable sofa behind the guests. 

the filming went pretty smoothly and jordan was up to his usual antics of trying to make the guests laugh and adding in funny quips and loud snores, the occasional sleep talking and itching his nose as he rolled over. at the end of the day he wouldn’t say he would have done anything different and, as usual, he was always sure to thank the filming crew and rest of the staff as well. just one more recording under his belt, many many more left to go, but at least he was still having fun with it. 

as much as you could not being able to talk very much.

 jordan wasn’t usually very big into mobile games, but when all his friends started playing amoung us, well, he couldn’t really be left out of all the fun. besides, he had always thought he was pretty good liar in the first place so it should be easy enough to pull in some wins. that had been the idea, anyway, but it seemed as though all his friends knew him too well and he was usually the first one ejected regardless of whether he was the imposter or not. which he supposed was fair, he was hardly very trustworthy. 

“oh come on! again?” he couldn’t help but complain out loud as, once again, he got himself voted off first, despite being a perfectly innocent crewmate. jordan simply huffed, putting his phone down on the table in front of him. then he glanced up, looking around for a moment to see who else was around. that’s when he spotted hyuna, beckoning her over with a quick waft of his head. “hey, quick question. do i have an untrustworthy looking face to you?”

“mm it crossed my mind before, but i didn’t know it had an astrological explanation for this,” seunghun couldn’t help but laugh despite the serious expression with which he delivers his words. and while it sounded a bit funny in his head that zodiac signs would dictate relationships in a way, he wouldn’t completely erase this reasoning for now and just played along. “you know what? maybe it explains everything,” he put his spoon down and shrugged. “maybe i should read more about this.” he didn’t mean it though, because studying about his own sun sign didn’t spark his interest for the effort. 

“what have you learned about yourself? do you fit in taurus’ characteristics or… what’s it called? ah- or are you more your rising or moon?” even if he did read about this, it still sounded like he was talking nonsense when the words left his mouth. raising an eyebrow, seunghun chucked. “well, this is surprising. maybe the coaches were already expecting you showing up in a bull costume and doing something extra,” he said playfully, perfectly capable of picturing it. “mhm i found some pisces to team up with and i’m rearranging the song now. do you want to listen to it?” he asked and fished his phone out of the sweatpants’ pocket. 

he did have to chuckle just a little at the very idea that the reason they got on was because of some silly astrological reason. of course that wasn’t it, they just got on well because their personalities matched at they liked each other. it wasn’t because of the month and day they were born. “oh yeah?” he grinned slightly at the admission that he was going to have to do some more research into the matter, “well, you will just have to tell me how that one goes because i have absolutely no interest in doing any more research on the matter.” he really couldn’t be bothered. 

“i opened one webpage, looked at the listed traits and just went with it. didn’t even have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page,” and that was just fine with him. he hardly wanted to waste his life away actually researching the matter when there were many better things he could actually be doing with his time. “if they’re expecting that, then i’ll be a surprise when i just show up in some jeans,” he grinned. he did enjoy skewing expectations people had of him and surprising them. “lucky,” he hadn’t found a single other taurus to perform with, unsure of if there were actually any other taurus trainees out there. “but sure,” he straightened up as seunghun pulled out his phone, “hit me with it.”

bae jinyoung s-pop after mom is asleep recording with BOL4

slowly but surely, jordan was starting to get used to how these recording sessions were going to go.

and it was actually a lot more fun that he thought it was going to be. not to mention after mom is asleep was probably the easiest segment on the spop channel to actually host. he didn’t really need to say much and the whole time he got to just lay down on the coach behind the guests and pretend to be asleep, only occasionally cutting with some some funny comments when he saw fit. the only thing he had to do which no one else did was dress up in a funny outfit, and honestly he didn’t mind that part in the slightest. it was actually amusing to him to wear a wig and put on a dress. 

an added bonus was he also got to walk around telling everyone that he was their mother, which brought him infinite amusement and was not something he was going to be stopping anytime soon. this is what the guests and staff were just going to have to put up with for the next six months of their lives and jordan couldn’t be happier about it. 

for the recording he was just all smiles, making sure to politely greet his guests before things started, getting quite a kick at how amusing they thought his getup was. but it was not long before he was settling into his usual position on the coach just behind the guests, wiggling to get comfortable as he was going to have to lay there not really doing anything else for quite some time. but he was not going to let it get boring for him, though he was supposed to be pretending to be asleep he could still have some fun. in moments of quiet he would making sure to snore extra loudly, hoping to get an extra giggle or two, also taking the opportunity to perfectly interject with some funny quips when it made sense to do so. 

all in all, the recording had been fun and jordan was feeling quite good about himself as it ended, making sure to bow politely and thank all the recording staff for working hard and he of course gave an extra thanks to the guests for that episode. but with that over all that was left was to take off the dress and wig and look forward to the next week where he got to go and do it all over again.

♠ Surprise! ♠

Being the first of his friends to be signed was something Beomgyu was still trying to wrap his (tiny) brain around. The fact that Yeonjun, Yeojin and Soobin had yet to find a home with a company still confused him. Soobin was very popular online and his vocals were no joke. Yeonjun oozed talent and Yeojin, well, she was perfect. When he had heard Jordan had been signed, Beomgyu was honestly a little surprised. He had no idea Jordan had been wanting to debut but he had been happy for his friend (and frankly a little bit proud). Now he was here, Beomgyu would do anything to be able to debut in a group with his hyung. Beomgyu was someone who could easily befriend people so the thought of being part of a group with new people didn’t scare him. He would just feel more comfortable being with at least one person he knew well.

❝ Yup! ❞ He replied simply, a playful grin graced his lips. Beomgyu was too happy seeing the older male that he had completely forgotten that he was heavy and Jordan wouldn’t be able to hold him for long before he began to feel the pain in his limbs. Though, there was probably a part of him that was challenging his friend to see how long he could handle Beomgyu’s weight.

Beomgyu let out a very loud huff as he finally jumped off Jordan. He fixed his clothes before he glared at the older, arms crossed. ❝ I’m not that loud hyung, ❞ he whined. ❝ It really hurts that you think that, ❞ he added with a pout. ❝ You’re getting weaker, hyung. You used to be able to hold me longer, ❞ he teased with a smirk. He stuck his tongue out at the older male. He then looked around. ❝ So what is there to do here? What are some good places to eat? ❞

with beomgyu signed to trc, things certainly were going to get more interesting around the place he did have to admit. it was hard to find training boring when you were surrounded with your friends and people you happened to get along with. and he could already imagine the beomgyu could help him get up to if things did happen to get a little too boring for his tastes. of course, nothing which was going to get his contract terminated as he was actually enjoying this ‘trainee’ business, but there was nothing against just a little bit of fun which was sure to lighten the mood of everyone else. as if his absolutely winning personality didn’t do that anyway. 

“well, you better be prepared to lose some of hat weight now you’re here,” he couldn’t help but tease just a little, “you’re going to love the gym sessions and the dieting.” the gym training was absolutely awful, but the dieting wasn’t that bad as he was a pretty skinny person to begin with so technically didn’t need to lose any weight. if anything, he needed to gain more weight to make him stop looking so much like a literal matchstick. 

finally being able to straighten up fully now the younger boy had jumped off his back, jordan made sure to put on a show of rubbing the small of his back like he was in great amounts of pain. “you’re being loud right now,” he did have to point out with a slight grin, “and yeah, i could hold you for longer, but i don’t see why i should.” if anything, he could probably hold him for longer than he used to thanks to all the training making him stronger. “you get signed and the first thing you think of is eating?”

being the only taurus did sort of suck for jordan

he had almost come to miss getting to performing with other people, going solo for a couple of evaluations now. but it looked like it was just going to have be another solo shot for him, unable to find anyone else around to form a group with thanks to the limit of being able to only group up with people under the only star sign. though he did try, but everyone else seemed to be born in different months and under different signs. so, after a week of looking to see if he could find anyone to perform with, he had to just give up the idea and start his search for a solo song he could do. 

it also didn’t help that he didn’t really pay attention to any of the zodiac stuff in the first place so knew nothing about his star sign. but it only took one quick google search and one webpage to find a list of traits to work off of. though he didn’t really think any of them suited him very well, he supposed it didn’t really matter very much just so long as he found a song he could sing. which shouldn’t be hard, he could sing pretty much anything. and would sing pretty much anything even if his vocal range really wasn’t suited to it. but maybe not for an evaluation, he supposed he should at least try and do something he could comfortably sing and not pick something with hundreds of high notes he could only dream of reaching. 

picking a song was a little harder than he thought it would be in the end. eventually he simply took to youtube, searching for songs compatible with zodiac signs until he found something he liked the sound of. it was also amusing that this would not be the first song he was doing from unit black, or in this case, a member of the group. though it had been a little while since he done a song from one of them so he didn’t think it mattered all that much. 

with a song picked it was just back to the daily routine of things and practicing whenever he could get the time in. going over the lyrics over in his head until he was sure they were ingrained in there and he would be able to remember them years from now. and the vocal practice to make sure he could sing it well enough to perform. and he was thankful this was not a dance focused eval as well, allow him just to focus on his singing instead of his less than amazing dance skills. while he had gotten better on the dancing front, he was hardly a master and still had his struggles when it came to dance and actually performing without falling flat on his face or standing on his own foot mid choreography. 

finally, the day of the evaluation dawned and jordan was simply confident that he could get up there and show his stuff with little problem. there wasn’t really anything for him to worry about, it wasn’t an incredibly challenging song or anything so he was sure he would be able to to do it. and when it was finally his turn to perform he was pretty chill about the whole thing, just grinning as he introduced himself, “i’m a taurus. the only one around, evidently. guess that makes me special, huh?” though it was still a shame that he was the only one, but there was nothing he could do about it. 

instead he simply decided to focus on his song choice, making sure he at least showed a proper performance. no messing around, which was rather a chance for him and he was sure people would be surprised to see him taking something seriously. but the whole performance wasn’t that much of a bother for him and he easily made his way through the song, actually enjoying himself while it lasted. 

and with this evaluation down and marked off the list he could look towards the next one, maybe hoping that he would finally get a chance to perform in a group for a chance instead of having to fly solo.

because he couldn’t exactly understand this evaluation mission, the trainee couldn’t stop thinking about it through the day, wondering if the concept was alright and if he was good enough to rearrange the song like they decided. as the oldest member of his group, he felt some kind of responsibility to do things right. with this and other random thoughts he had in his mind lately, it was easy to space out and forget to eat the food that was right in front of him for a few minutes now. blinking up, he snapped back to reality. “huh?” he murmured, taking a few seconds for his brain to process what the other said.  

“does that mean we’re a match made in heaven?” he chuckled before stuffing his mouth with a spoonful of rice and kimchi. “i’m not surprised though. it explains a lot…” he said lightheartedly. truth be told, he didn’t get that far in his research about signs, but thinking about it, it actually made sense because they were opposite in many things, so one’s personality probably balanced the other’s. this or something about pisces getting along with other water signs or earth ones. “do you believe in this? i mean… compatibility between signs?” he asked. it sounded a bit silly in his head – wasn’t it unfair that some things were already determined for you? – but it doesn’t stop him from reaching for his phone to quickly check something for science. turning his phone down with a sheepish grin, he shakes his head and looks up. “do you have any crazy plans for the eval?”

jordan had never really believed in any of he zodiac kind of stuff. before this evaluation he known nothing further than the fact he was an taurus an that was it. though he knew this kind of thing was right up some people’s alleys and they loved everything to do with it. the horoscopes and compatibility and sun and moon signs or whatever. and that was fine, but after this evaluation was over and done with he was probably never going to look into this stuff again or even pay attention to it. 

“course we are,” he was quick to respond with a grin, “i thought you would have noticed this by now.” there was a reason they got on so well, and while he didn’t really believe it was because they had compatible zodiac signs, it could be he supposed. but he did doubt it, he and seunghun got on simply because they were good friends, not because there was some higher out there. “nah, not a chance,” he easily responded when he was asked if he believed in any of this stuff, “it’s just a bunch of rubbish to me. i’ve never really paid attention to it and i’m not about to start now.” trying to be friends with people or avoiding them because of star signs was just completely ridiculous. “crazy? no, not this time around. i was thinking about it, but couldn’t really find a suitable song that i could really weird out to or anything,” which was a shame, but he supposed the coaches would be happy that he was being normal this time around. “what about you? picked a song out? are you in a group?”

this eval was just a little bit of a pain in the ass, especially when he had come to realize that he didn’t actually know any other trainees born under the same star sign as him. and while he didn’t really mind doing the whole thing solo, it was still a little annoying and he would have preferred finding a group to slip into. but he simply supposed that he didn’t have much of a choice in the matter and he was just going to have to make do by himself. but at least he didn’t have to worry about the planning by himself as well and could still get some other opinions. 

“did you know that taurus and pisces have great compatibility?” he offered with a grin as he glanced up over the table where seunghun was currently sitting. “it’s probably why we get on so well.” not that he had ever bought into any of the zodiac crap to begin with, but this evaluation did require just a bit of research to find a suitable enough song. though he certainly wasn’t against just taking to youtube and finding something that way. it was probably easier than coming up with his own idea.

The whole thing was over much faster than expected, she’d barely answered a couple of messages and scrolled through social media for a bit, when he was already outside again. Slipping her phone back into her bag, she nodded, pushing herself off of the wall.

“You were awfully fast, I barely started looking through instagram,” she joked. By now she really didn’t expect anything more to actually happen, even if there were cameras around, they’d first have to notice the missing microphone and it wasn’t like that was the only microphone around. She’s really worried for nothing.

“We could grab a coffee or so?” she suggested, “or maybe you want to get that to safety first,” she chuckle, after a moment of consideration, maybe it wasn’t the best idea to sit wherever, with a super expensive microphone in the bag. Not when stumbling people and coffee spills existed. At least her shoulders were much more relaxed than at the beginning of the conversation now.

being fast had been the whole point, he didn’t really want to run the risk of someone coming along and walking in on his master plan and ruining everything. so he had rather made the effort to slip in and out as fast as he possibly could and was actually quite pleased that he had managed to get it all done without any interrupting. 

“told you i wouldn’t be very long,” he did have to offer with a slight grin as he lazily shoved his hands into his pockets, “and i’m a man of my word.” and he hadn’t wanted to keep her waiting and she was willing to help him out and he hadn’t promised her anything for compensation. leaving her awkwardly outside the door for a very long time was probably not a good way to go about showing his appreciation for the help. 

“coffee sounds good, actually,” he didn’t have anything else taking up his time at the moment. but she did make a good point that he should probably drop the bag with the expensive microphone off somewhere safe first beforehand. “via my locker,” he added with a slight laugh. though that would mean he would need to remember to actually take the microphone home with him at the end of the day and not accidentally leave it shut in his locker all night. the longer it went not its its proper home the more likely it was someone was actually going to notice it was missing.

If Beomgyu didn’t know Jeongguk and hadn’t had the experience of the superstar commercial then he would be a hot mess right now. He was lucky enough to know a photographer and he could ask his hyung for ideas and tips. Plus, he had attended a photography workshop during the speak up event a few months ago. He just needed to draw on all these experiences and his limited knowledge for this evaluation. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

❝ Oh really? You think they’d let me inside the nightclub? ❞ He asked eagerly. He was still unsure about what concept and location he had wanted to do and he hoped having a conversation with Jordan would help him. ❝ Maybe I could follow hyung and we could do it together? ❞ He suggested cheekily. ❝ I wonder if they would actually let us do that. Model in pairs and groups. ❞

you didn’t need to practice sitting and posing for pictures, he liked to think, so he was hardly going to waste his time doing that. maybe this month he could spend the usual time set aside for eval practice instead working on his youtube and keeping his fans happy. videos were rather sparce these days with the heavy trainee load and any extra time spent doing his university coursework so he could actually graduate in the end. 

“i mean, probably,” he didn’t actually know for sure and you would probably have to check with someone to actually make sure, but he liked to think so. “but i don’t think groups are actually allowed. this is supposed to be a solo thing,” groups would be even easier then you could just hide behind someone else and let them do all the hard work while you just stood there. and he didn’t really think that was the point of this whole thing, “and who says i would want to put up with you even more anyway?” that last part was obviously said in a teasing way, poking the tip of his tongue out at the younger boy as a he grinned.
