This is our neighbor, Tani. Earlier this year she lost her husband, with whom she had been together for almost 60 years. As you know, late last year I lost my Mother. For the past few months, we’ve adopted her, and she’s been so gracious in sharing her time and life with us. We’ve watched her and her husband being so admiringly and fiercely independent since we met them a decade ago. We’re only so fortunate to have her in our life now. Dec 2: Well, the celebration ain’t over. These two rascals shown here conspired to catch me off guard. I’d known for long that David had planned to take me for a simple birthday dinner @sushiran While waiting for the restaurant to open, someone tapped me and smile. OMG @farnoush_d came to San Francisco not by plane but by driving all the way from San Diego just to surprise me, and I couldn’t be more freaked out and pleased!!!
