#20 - Something ‘Dad’ (Books. Chess, grammar, theology... And the ladder up to the loft where there are, you guessed it, more books.)

Doing a bit of a catch up on the Every Day Drawing Challenge, and having to replace some with photos. The last few days have been pretty rough, but I’m just going to be gentle with this project; there’s no point in making myself quit entirely because I failed to draw every day.

AS Level Art Sketchbook, Pt5

We were asked to create films. We had to look at Film Noire, and then create an abstract film involving a mask. The text in the second image explains the film I came up with.

Part of a AS-level photoshoot responding to Cindy Sherman, who did a series of Untitled Film Stills rather after the film noire style. She takes photos of herself disguised in different roles: the chic starlet, the model, et cetera.

Flying, 2009

This photo was taken on my viola teacher's Pentax K-20. Very nice camera, quite blue in the settings.

No particular focus with the shoot, I just wanted to get a feeling for the camera.

Good shot with the body of the gull in line with the trees, and the wings curbing around in the same shapes as the clouds behind it.
