Love vs. Heartbreak

We are a part of that generation where love stands naked to be embraced, tortured by the brutality and cruelty of the people who are blind to it.

We are a part of that generation where our hearts break in the night, fake smiles appear in the morning with sad eyes hiding in their sockets to save themselves from the melancholy of life.

We are a part of that generation where the superficial layer of lust has taken over the genuineness of love.

We are a part of that generation that has learned to cry without tears, love without feelings and break hearts without noise.

We are a part of that generation that effortlessly strive for a secured future and successfully spoils the present.

We are a part of that generation where loyalty is laughed at, commitment is feared and stories of true love extinct.

We are a part of that generation that sits in the pool of loneliness after a loud night, works for weekends, saves for parties and lives for booze.

We are a part of that generation that ignores real people around us, longing for the awe of unknown messengers from the tangles of the web.

We are a part of that generation that knows the truth, ignores the truth and still complains about not finding it.

We are a part of that generation where love has been massacred, mercilessly, let alone to die.

Yes, we are a part of this generation. Where hookups and flings are the easy paths and true love has faced its wrath. I’m not the type of person that holds back their feelings I love to love people and cherish them because life is so short and you never know which moment will be your last people are so scared of love not specifically referring to romantic love but love in general, different forms of love. My professor is an adjunct and was being reviewed today in class. After the head of the department was done reviewing her she asked the class if anyone had any questions and everyone was like “no go home get some rest” because you could tell she was sick and she was like OK guys I’m going to urgent care I’ve had a fever of 102 degrees this whole time and everyone was like ??? What why didn’t you cancel class and she was like because the head of the department would have taught the class and I would never do that to you guys! (Since her classes are so much unesesarily harder) and I felt so bad. Amy ily 😭
