tiny summer blurb - Crescent
“Cream or sage green?”
You stop in your tracks, your hand still on the doorknob as you take in the scene in front of you. Crescent stands in the middle of the hotel room, and expensive clothes are scattered on the floor, the furniture, everywhere, like a storm had ravaged the room. Crescent tilts their head, waiting for an answer. You focus on the two pieces they’re holding in their arms. A cream shirt with pearly buttons and a sage green flowy toga-like top.
“I need to see them on you to pick,” you finally declare. A hungry smile slowly curves their lips. They throw the clothes on the bed and swiftly remove the silk robe that covered them. Freckled skin is exposed entirely. As always, your heart seems to skip a beat, or two, or three hundreds. Crescent slowly stretch their long limbs and you can almost feel the smugness radiating off them as your eyes follow their every movement. Their wings slightly puff as their chest rises and falls with a heavy breath.
“You’re not wearing the clothes. I can’t decide,” you murmur as you saunter closer to them.
They grab your hand and spin you a bit until you’re laid back on the bed, looking up at them.
“I don’t need that, don’t worry. I look good in most anything.” they say flippantly. “Right now, I need you.”
They still have your hand in theirs. They bring down their face until they press a chaste kiss on your knuckles.
“We have to go, people are waiting for us for the fireworks,” you weakly protest.
Crescent closes their eyes, and you can almost see them trying to work out if they want to dismiss every one of their friends in favor of spending the evening with you in this room. Finally, they sigh.
“Fine. I yield.”
Their violet eyes pierce yours and they stand up straighter. They wink at you as they mutter “for now.”
“Pick the cream shirt,” you add after a moment of silence as you both collect yourselves. “It matches my wings.”
