tiny summer blurb - Perceval
You had been looking for Perceval, and it wasn’t a surprise to find him in the gardens, deep in the back. He had been sitting cross legged on the green grass, his shoulders hunched as he was fiddling with something. First, you noticed the unusual frustration on his face. Then, you saw he was trying to braid a yarn bracelet.
He seemed so relieved to see you, his whole face lit up by tenderness, that you almost felt bad when you told him you had no more experience than him in bracelet making.
“It’s for Majid,” xe explained. “He found a small kit on a marketplace somewhere on Earth during his last mission, and I wanted to make one for him.”
Percy then smiled apologetically.
“I haven't been very good so far.”
And so that’s how you ended up sitting next to him, focusing hard on making the right pattern in hope of helping him. It was a disaster. Discarded attempts laid on the grass around you too like proof of your failures. One of Percy’s large wings was above you to protect you from the sun. Your hands were starting to ache. You were soon going to run out of yarn and charms. And to top it off, you couldn’t feel your legs anymore besides an annoying tingle.
Finally, you gasped excitedly. Perceval’s attention snapped to you as you held out a perfectly fine bracelet.
“You did it! Thank you, dear.”
“You’re welcome. It’s like a revenge on… whatever those were,” you gestured to the corpses of the previous failed bracelets. Percy’s deep laugh rumbled in his chest, and he leaned in to press a small kiss to your forehead.
“I still need to make one though.”
You tilted your head curiously.
“What for?”
“To give to you.”
