Daily Discussion: WTF?
I've long been an observer of human nature and the wonderful tricks we pull on ourselves. As well as the ludicrous things we do.
And, since I'm on the road more often on the daily commute, that behaviour observation has been how we drive.
It's easy to figure some things out, like:
If traffic monitoring is in place, everyone travels 20kph below the limit
If traffic monitoring is not in place, everyone travels at or above the limit whenever possible
If a woman is driving, she must be scared off the road at the earliest convenience, and then blamed for it [Note: I don't follow this one, nor do I advise you to]
Remember and obey the road rules only when a cop car is present
I just found out this morning that number four applies even when said cop car is (a) wrecked, (b) uninhabited and (c) very obviously on top of a tow truck.
Well, if I can wear a cheap hat and get the respect on the road that a man gets, I guess a tow truck can become an honorary police vehicle.
Sometimes the human race just boggles my mind.
Amazing, isn't it?
