Road Block ll Jade & Damianos

“There’s like, a whole army of them!” Jade exclaimed in disbelief as she continued to stare at the view in front of her. A horde of Crustle, content to park their giant shells in front of the only path through the cave, was a sight Jade had never thought she’d see. “What the hell are they doing even?” She looked towards Magnum for an answer, but he was much too curious about the Crustle to acknowledge her, nose buried inside the mouth of one of their shells. Jade simply shook her head, waiting for her Arcanine to recoil back from the inevitable pinching the Crustle was about to give him.
“I told you not to stick your face in there, dummy,” she lectured as her Arcanine reared back with a pained whine. “I mean seriously, you shoulda remembered that from when I tried it.” Her defiant Pokemon only snorted back at her, pawing at his nose. She kept glancing back at the Crustle while she tended to Magnum’s pinched nose, hoping they’d start to stir a bit. Instead, she only saw the eyes of the Crustle Magnum had bothered blink at her before quickly receding back inside its shell.
“...They’re just gonna stay there, aren’t they?” She mumbled to herself as she walked a little circle around the small bit of path they were on, searching for another way out of the cave. She checked her C-Gear before lifting her head back up with a sigh. “And the tide’s gonna seal the normal exits up in like, 5 minutes too, so we can’t just go back either...”
Echoing footsteps brought Jade’s attention back towards the path they had just come from, where she noticed a tall man coming towards where they were.
“Hey if you’re looking for a way outta this cave too, don’t bother comin’ this way, man,” she warned, gesturing to the Pokemon behind her. “These Crustle ain’t letting nobody pass for a while.”
