Ok so ive heard this is the place to just fucking DUMP about your world/setting/universe/ so im gonna drop a bunch of stuff! because i need to talk about this!

ROAD'S END is a F20 campaign ive been working on for a while (likely just 5e bc its easy to recruit for).

A war ended not long ago. Everyone lost, really. The Elves took losses that would take a generation to replace. Humans lost worse, in the short term. Elves live hundreds of years, and with this expanse of time, their cardinal sin has become apathy. In a society in which every field requires expertise, all else falls away to the obsessed. Current events pass without a care as the scholars research, soldiers fight, and the dryads grow. Humans are a different beast. Agriculture has polluted their lands, their gross explosion of society encroaching on all else. Greed is their natural flaw, drawing them to squander every resource they can to feed their ever-growing mass.

An age ago, The Wise King of the elves halted their march. Looming forests stood before him and his warriors, the woods thick with growth and hills. He turned in place and looked at the road he had forged and the groups he had united finally in peace, and the weight of responsibility sunk upon him.

He ordered this to be named The Road’s End in old elvish, and for his men to march no further, for his nation needed no more. He marched home, his men now behind him, and rested.
