Scavenged a good bit of aged Cedar split rail fence that’d been cut to length for firewood, but it got thoroughly soaked in today’s big rain. . I stood it around tonight’s fire and rotated it—as well as some other good, but very wet, wood I found—end for end and side for side as the evening wore on. . Gotta admit, it was as much for the fun of it as it was for the drying. Now I have a shitload of good dry wood for this week’s heat, cooking, and standing ‘round a good fire in the dark while the loons call out on the lake.
