The day before the August Michigan race @the-kings-tail-fin went to Roadkill Nights (powered by Dodge--can you tell?) in Pontiac, MI! There was a small car show, local drag racing (including a Prius with a Hellcat engine O_o;;), celebrity drag racing, free thrill rides--basically, a professional driver shoots you around a small road course, and it’s awesome--and free burnout rides. The lines were long and the day was hot and ended in downpour, but it was epic.
It was my first time in a remotely cool car, and I think that set the bar pretty high--cool car, good driver, zany stunts. Prior to this day, I’m pretty sure the coolest car I’d ever been in was some Lyft driver’s new Chevy Malibu, which is a little bit different than a Hellcat doing burnouts. Maybe. XD
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day! It was pretty sweet getting to shoot cars in action from close up.
