sometimes dreams are normal, then other nights you go to bed hoping to dream of a painting idea, and you dream of one of those incredibly creepy fae lying next to a roadkill deer, and the phrase “you’re a wounded dog that needs to be kicked” is echoing all around your brain
@softsliders19 asked:
[BACK] - Miles rubs a hand up and down Sarah's back
It took her a minute to catch her breath properly and finally look back up to the young man. “Thank you, it’s very sweet of you to have helped and even stick around now,” she said with a light chuckle. The rubbing action was grounding and honestly, was likely what helped her back to the present moment. Sitting up a bit straighter she laughed sheepishly and said, “As a doctor, I swear I’m not usually that affected by the sight of some blood. I think it might’ve been the smell of the roadkill.”

So I have to make a twelve hours long car trip, and I know I'll see roadkill. And like, I don't want to have that conversation with my dad. He's very supportive but "Hey, can you pull over? I want to collect that dead animal" may be too much to ask.
My current mood is a roadkill with a 'get well soon!' balloon tied to it
submission from @dabrutlafish:
Hello again! My jackie feet had been in lots of heat for a while now (in a box, no salt or cornmeal, just in a wooden box) and i think they may be done now! There is pretty much no smell or visible parasites and they're dry and very stiff. Is there any way i can disinfect them a bit so that I'm not constantly paranoid about getting salmonella? Thanks hehe💕

this came out so good!! at this stage the best "disinfectant" you can do if you're paranoid is to freeze for a couple weeks, or in table salt as it does kill bacteria as well I believe. but generally as long as you're not chewing on it, you'll be fine, I don't think jackdaw feet are known for salmonella lol!
