Having one of these bad boys pass you on a motorway that has chains on either side of the roads to 'catch you' should you 'slide off course' was a little terrifying. On our road trip from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Madison, Wisconsin we passed by three minor accidents thanks to the icy roads. And all these roads were gritted and snow ploughed before dawn that day. Makes me wonder how the UK would manage.
