This 4-minute video is filmed from a passenger point of view inside my car while driving, capturing the experience of movement and time from a first-hand, observational perspective. Instead of focusing on speed or dramatic action, the video documents the quieter, everyday aspects of a journey, such as the steady motion of the road, changes in light and weather, passing surroundings, and the soundscape of the car in motion. The POV angle places the viewer directly in the passenger seat, creating an immersive and slightly intimate experience, as if they are accompanying the driver on a routine drive. This work connects to my wider project by exploring the car as a space that is lived in and experienced, rather than just an object to be drawn or painted. It also reflects my interest in cars as environments where time, movement, and observation come together, turning an ordinary drive into a form of visual documentation.
