Could you describe roaring trainers for me?

absolutely! (sorry this got kind of long)

the roaring trainers is an actual play modded dungeons and dragons 5e podcast set in the pokemon universe, in kanto, during the “jazz age” (don’t let the 1920s scare you though if that’s not your bag, it basically just means that people are a little old timey and theres no computers).

essentially, they travel through each city, stop at pokemon centers, battle and catch pokemon, all by rolling your typical dnd dice

the cast is all from wisconsin (and will be doing a live show at glitchcon in arkansas this august). we have -

gatlin: “your gm this evening and all evenings after this evening”, character voice aficionado and even better at pokemon sound effects

adam: plays atticus merrygold, a farm boy in this mid 20s, Tragic Backstory, has an abra sidekick named abby

aaron: plays wesley hale Of The Celadon City Hales, rich entitled prettyboy, recent college graduate, scientist, germaphobe, Perfect

nick: plays sendoren housely, enthusiastic trainer of 18, the Ash of the podcast, a boyscout basically

essentially, it’s pokemon (catching pokemon, earning gym badges, pokemon centers, officer jenny, elite four, etc) but adult (swearing, drinking, guns, some dark stuff). the music is fantastic and the boys are hysterical. you laugh. you cry. you love pokemon.
