Hey! How's it going? What are your thoughts on Toronto FC right now, especially since they've sold Seba?
Hey. I’m so sorry. I have several accounts now (like mains) and things keep getting lost lol. It’s kinda late to give my thoughts on Seba butttttt
I think it was time for him to go. He wanted us to pay him for past performance and no club is going to do that, especially not one that has a limit to what they can pay players. I completely understand his frustration, he gave us everything, and he wanted to be rewarded for that. He deserved to be rewarded for that. Doesn’t mean we could it. So I wish him all the best but his petulance does smart.
It was a little scary over the past month with Bez leaving and just a domino effect of issues but having met Ali Curtis (he just oozes confidence) and having tried to hear the club out and trust the people that delivered us a treble it does look like things are falling into place. Pozuelo has been a longtime project and now that he is finally coming the club is looking to build a team around him so we will see how that goes. We didn’t prioritize CCL because we couldn’t afford to and that will allow us to rebuild better.
I will also say this. When all of this started happening MLSE hosted an impromptu “supporter’s appreciation event” and they dragged Oso and Michael out to answer fan questions along with Bill Manning. They took open and not screened questions which is Bill Manning’s style and they answered every question in earnest and never once shied away from difficult ones. I have all the respect for a club that is transparent with its fan or at the very least wants to be, and Bill Manning really strives for that.
I’m excited to see what we are capable of this year, I’m excited to see some youngsters coming through and some last chances for others, and I’m excited to finally be back at my home of BMO Field!
