“We had a goal to create an accessible, family-friendly, non-violent Battle Royale inspired by the game shows and playgrounds of our youths. But we only knew that we thought it was a good idea, we had no idea if it would resonate with an audience more used to fighting for chicken dinners than running through a bouncy castle dressed as a chicken. I like to think that our visual design ethos is at least partly responsible for our success” (Jackson, R., 2020).
