saturday: what gets you excited whilst writing?

I MEAN the basic answer is feewings... it’s like. Once you seize on something that makes you Feel you could write an entire two pages on it, yknow?? because writing is all about emotion and like you need to get terribly into your topic in order to write it. and like I get excited about laying out the idea and trying to get other people to feel it with me, understand what I’m trying to communicate?? I don’t think I write for the sake of writing; all my stories are about something else (as much as I try to make them Not - SOMETIMES I JUST WANNA WRITE A SIMPLE LUV STORY but i cant!!!!!) so if I don’t have that something else then it becomes v hard and if I do then it’s v easy!! 

august: are any of your fics associated with certain genres/artists/songs/etc?

all my mancfics are associated with madchester and u know it!!!!!!! but particularly becksillas apocalypse and bandfic bc i suck

october: name the darkest or angstiest fic you have written and/or posted?

UH ALL THE ONES WHERE BECKS DIES OBVIOUSLY

no this is an interesting qn because while I write a lot of angst I never end on, like, an incredibly hopeless note... I always like that idea of there being something to cling on to (even if it might not be life) so! like, becks might die but there’s still something (football) and it isn’t...angst angst?? is it?? idk. 

OH I FORGOT ABOUT ON THE HORIZON OKAY THAT ONE. Even though there’s still the hope of foobaw left STILL 

minutes: how long does it normally take you to complete a fic?

oh this one.......depends. a lot. ive churned out fwic in a few hours and equally i’ve taken months and almost years to finish something. idk!! my motivation is incredibly flaky!!! i hates it!!

LAMPERRY BEING SMASHED TO BITS BY BECKSILLAS jkjk I think the battle scenes from we held the day in the palm of our hands, just because I don’t usually get to write those and I think that war writing can be a very beautiful and very painful thing and it gets me emotional everytiem, so I rly liked being able to do that!!

Mmmm I don’t usually listen to music when I write bc I get super easily distracted and caught up in the song instead but! I’d have never been able to write curtain falls without tears in the rain // the 2049 soundtrack in general so Im say that

I was lookin thru my shit and realised that I have bewwiwwe pr0n abandoned.. thats just cos im bad at it.. I also abandoned a bunch of bewwiwwes and sir alex fic cos i got SAD and im STILL SAD ABOUT HIM ALL THE TIME ... com bak ;-;

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write?

all of it... I think just starting it was horribly difficult!! bc it’s something I’ve always wanted to write but also I didn’t know where to start with it - how do you broach a topic that big? - so I rly had to think thru the nawwative..after that it got easier ! BUT also the ending - I really wanted to do something that flicked back and forth between home and here and it was hard to get the exact balance of newspaper report / story without sounding too stilted or strange? I still think it’s a bit Eh but whatever!! 

41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written?

screams...I liked uh writing Jack Wilshere in Variation IX :vvvv

1. What is your favourite fic of mine?

wauuuuuugh can i say everyfink??? not even lyin…is like… everyfink u write is GOLD and i am so upset. I love all of ur bewwiwwe of course it’s like my favourite bewwiwwe (my current fav is in your splendour bc wa i l s how fuckin bEAUTIFUL and golden and promising and sad) but I think that, like, your liv fwics are an entire thing differently because you Feel, y’know, writing about your own team that’s different from writing other teams, so i wan say… though i sang in my chains like the sea because the first time I read that I was absolutely fucking blown away. Absolutely. It didn’t feel like a fwic so much as an open love letter to Everything I love about football and there’s just so much feeling that I fell in love and could never look back ever!!! 

also shoutout to solace which is.. still the best ending ;-;

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve read in my fics?

MMM EVERYTHIGN! I might cheat a bit bc my favourite romantic things about your fwics are your feelings about football - football is, after all, just romantic at heart, isn’t it, and you pull at that so well. I don’t even know where to sTARt because like...all of your fwics are inherently romantic and it kills me how beautiful they are. I wna say the ending of gravity breaking our kneecaps bc like.. there’s nothing more romantique than the image of someone scorin a goal, is there?? but basically all of ur liv fwic..the ending of retrospective, the ending of love that always gets me on my knees. the most beautiful. ;-----;

in terms of traditional old fashuned ships i know!!! it’s typical!!! but your gerlons always kills me... like the whole section 14 of regresar is truly gorgeous :// also like the ending scene of run for the light mmrrrrrgh i ... love.... soft golden... 

AND AND literally all of bewwiwwe i don’t want to cut and paste all of ur fwics but i fuckin WOULD BINCH. my fav might be the ending line from platitudes - there’s literally nothing, like, traditionally romantic about this anD YET IT’S SO SOFT EMO IT SLAYS ME STONE DEAD. dig my grave let me lie here. but also the last line from a hundred miles from land... and finally finally THE FUCKIN ‘You can do it.’ from the woods are lovely, dark and deep THE FIRST TIME I READ IT I INHALED SO SHARPLY I COULDNT BREAF!!!! rolls iono what to tell you that you don’t already know...I adore your writing, and every time you post something it’s even better than the last and it always hits me in the feelings like a gut punch. always!! You are such a good football fan - I don’t mean to say that there are good and bad football fans but, like, you know what I mean in terms of getting what football means, why football is important - I feel like you put so much thought into that and the emotion bleeding through your work is. pitch perfect. ur like the nick hornby of liv except it’s even more emo and deep and Fewwing and im glad u pulled a scholesy and came back from retirement bc i dont know what i would have done without shazfic!!! die probs!!!! :****
