One would think after seven years, innumerable piggy backs and arms around waists and getting to see Trent flourish into the man he is now, vice captain of Liverpool Football Club and making a name for himself in his national team, Andy would have done something about it. Andy hadn’t felt jealousy before he’d fallen in love with Trent but as he sits in this changing room, which has shuffled enough times for him to go dizzy with it, he realises that a looming contract might be the be all end all for him.

language headcanons??

no one asked but the nations league's got me thinking about languages and so hcs:

-fàbio definitely speaks portuguese to his mum on the phone and harvey always begs him to translate but fàbio simply rolls his eyes and tells him to simply 'learn' if he really wants to know

then harvey (like the determined soul he is) spends hours on duolingo, youtube and paid courses to learn it and surprise fàbio one day with his best attempt and fàbio just like falls in love again and now ONLY speaks in portuguese to harvey to help him practice (which harvey finds annoying but works)

-robbo doesn't speak it fluently but he knows some gaelic from school and uses it to annoy trent. like he'll say random words in gaelic to keep trent guessing as a game (he's the only one that finds it funny)

-both jarell and connor tried to learn spanish for their vacation in mallorca but they spoke it with such bad english accents the locals begged them to stop. however they like asking their teammates how to say stuff in their mother tongues and every time they have international break they like asking the other team's players or the locals for little words so now combined they can ask "where's the bathroom" in 15 languages (the pronunciation is still horrific though)

-bonus: alisson and virg tried to teach the other a language (alisson teaches virg brazilian portuguese and virg teaches alisson dutch) but it was too difficult for both of them - however they love using pet names and little words (like tea or something) in their native tongues because the other finds it very cute

ideas on how robbotrent would get together?🥸

okay so for me it's either in a very funny way, a very happy way, or a very sad way

So for happy it would be in the 19/20 season after winning the prem and/or CL. Like I can defo imagine that they were so happy (and drunk [in Andy's case mostly]) after all the celebrations that their touches became not-so-friendly and/or words that weren't so platonic get said and they reveal their feelings to each other

Sad way would be after coming second to man city (either first or second time) or after losing to Madrid (first or second time). I would say after Madrid second time because that was when people really started questioning Trent's defending and Andy, like the angel he is, would do everything to help pick him back up and support him. I don't think he'd confess because of how emotionally distraught Trent is but in his vulnerable state Trent might be like 'fuck it I've lost everything it doesn't matter if I lose Andy now too' and confess. Andy would defo be like 'not right now, you need to get better' and then after, when Trent works through it a bit (with the sports therapist) they get together!

Very funny way would be something so uniquely them where they're having a joking spat over something (like during wingmen when they were arguing over Trent's facial hair haha) and Robbo finds Trent so endearing that he just randomly says 'fucking hell I love you' and they both go silent and robbo's like 'wait I didn't mean to say that-' but Trent is quick to reassure him that it's quite alright :)

I always think of that 7-0 against Bournemouth and after where Robo throws his arms around Trent and they're yapping together and he's nuzzling into Trent's neck like I SEE YOU

Trent would 100% glare at whoever Robbo was holding on to until they let go and Robbo would always be so confused

Ooh he would abuse his role as vice-captain just to avoid talking about his feelings 🥺. "Hey Robbo I need to talk to you about something it's captain stuff!" Whenever Robbo is hugging someone just a lil too close and then it's actually nothing but Robbo lets him get away with it

The reverse would be so funny too like we see you Trent!! We didn't forget about Jude and Szobo!!

Every international break Robbo hate watches every interaction between Trent and Jude to psychoanalyse whether or not they're secretly in love or just bros instead of just confessing

Szobo would somehow be the mediator in all this because like... both Trent and Robbo can be close with him so he notices and gets Kostas to help him get them together??? interesting...
