Well that’s that, my new album ‘Portraits’ is out today:) Feels strangely quiet this morning having my coffee in the front yard. I wrote most of the songs at home here in 2020 and then recorded in early 2021 in Toronto. ‘Portraits’ represents the most investment I’ve ever put into a collection of songs in terms of mental, emotional and physical effort and I am so proud of the songs and their documentation. It was produced by the mighty James Bunton, whose contributions made the collection way stronger than I could have managed on my own. It also features a cast of brilliant players (in order of appearance): @nicohyattphoto, @merganzermusic, James Bunton, @ansleysmusic, @mrfranklin5, Bry Webb, @drewjurecka, and @m_feuerstack. The gorgeous album art was created by @nnicopaulo, based on pictures of me and Alena’s half duplex. It was mastered by the wonderful Heather Kirby at @dreamlands_mastering.
