Finished reading Troubled Blood yesterday. And yes, there’s a serial killer who wears women’s clothes. He’s not trans, there are no trans characters in it. The mystery was good and I love the relationship between Strike and Robin and both of their character’s development.
I’ve been reading the Cuckoo’s Calling bc why not (I really like it!) and I don’t know how JK Rowling kept up the facade for as long as she did.
This reads like it was ripped right from a HP book.
A good read but not drop dead amazing in comparison with some other similar ones. I enjoyed it a lot though, the characters, humour and tone were enjoyable.
Admit it, when you got to the scene in "Career of Evil" when the investigation is taken over by someone else, and Strike makes Robin guess who the awful replacement is, you said "the Vulture" in your head...
