This is a restored McLaughlin Cutter, built between 1890-1905. It features a decorative lattice on top of the front of the cutter and minor decorative swooshes on the sides in raised piping technique.

Robert McLaughlin Releases New Book on Pleasure Island
Pleasure Island Walking Tour, Talks, and Book Signing Events
WAKEFIELD, MA – With the release of his new book, Pleasure Island 1959-1969, Friends of Pleasure Island President Robert McLaughlin will host talks in Wakefield and Reading, a walking tour of the former Pleasure Island site, and two local book signing events in July.
Pleasure Island Talk – Wednesday, July 9
Walk down memory lane with local author, Bob McLaughlin, when he reveals the beautiful color photos in his latest book, Pleasure Island 1959-1969. Presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, 345 Main Street, Wakefield. A display of Pleasure Island memorabilia is available for viewing on the first floor of the library. Pleasure Island Walking Tour – Sunday, July 13
On Sunday, July 13, Friends of Pleasure Island President Robert McLaughlin will conduct a free walking tour of the former Pleasure Island amusement park site at Edgewater Office Park, located off of Audubon Road in Wakefield (Rte. 128, Exit 42). The tour will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. This event is open to the public and does not require reservations. Participants will meet in the first parking lot on the left after entering Edgewater Office Park.
Pleasure Island Revisited, Wednesday, July 16 Join author Robert McLaughlin for an inside look at photos from his new book, Pleasure Island 1959-1969. Presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 p.m. at The Residence at Pearl Street, 75 Pearl Street, Reading, MA. Reservations required as seating is limited. New Book Featuring History of Pleasure Island
Friends of Pleasure Island President Robert McLaughlin’s new book Pleasure Island 1959-1969 was released on June 30, 2014. This new publication features color images of the park’s unique history. This is the first book being released in New England by Arcadia Publishing, for their new series launched early this year titled "Images of Modern America".
