An interesting take on the country house mystery formula only with an embassy behind the iron curtain#Substituting for the country house and leaked secrets in place of a murder. Its nice to shake up the formula a bit and to get Jordan#And later Inman away from London for a bit. Stewart provides a strong script which allows for a lot more focus on developing the minor#Characters: the embassy is staffed by a pleasingly disparate group of poshos eccentrics and dry wits. Of course a good script needs good#Actors. Happily we are obliged: ever reliable Hilary Dwyer is the potential love interest for Jordan this week (his womanising seems to be#A recent development as the b/w eps didn't focus too much on his personal life after the first ep). Plus she gets to smoke cigars and be#Snarky so it's all good. As ever Moxon watches everything from the wings with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. He really is an awful man but#Perry somehow makes him almost roguishly likeable. Or at least you can't help but admire the sheer level of dickery he works on
