California Mothership Image Number: 111712_2040 This was a freak storm that passed through near my home in Madera Ranchos, CA. We typically do not get storm like this in my area of California. I had been watching it develop on radar for about an hour before I headed out to pursue it, mainly because ALL my batteries were pretty much dead. I had to let them charge as long as I could. As the storm got closer, there was a constant roll of thunder. However, all the lightning was behind the rain curtain and I did not get any lightning shots of this storm (please take a look at my storm set for previous lightning shots). I headed home for my last battery on the charger as it started raining and was unable to get back in front of this storm before it his the foothill of the Sierra Nevada range. Thanks for taking the time to look and I hope you enjoy it! Copyright ©Robert Pearce. All rights reserved.
