Hot Fuzz - Cop Movie Spoof

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (previously in ‘Shaun of the Dead’) take on the ‘action cop’ movie format in this hit or miss comedy. Pegg plays a big city hot shot police hero, who is transferred to a sleepy little town where the biggest crimes are drunken rowdies coming out of the local pub at closing time, small time vandalism and the like. The police force in this town is sleepy and cozy, and the hot shot cop is like a fish out of water, until a series of murders brings his true talents to the fore. Funny here and there, especially when they are sending up the ‘buddy cop movie’ cliches, but otherwise barely worth your time.
