A retired University of Michigan professor was found dead Monday inside his townhouse in the 3200 block of Alpine Drive.

Recent Grad Receives First Place in UMass-Amherst Poster Competition

Kathy Ammari, a 2017 master’s degree recipient, was awarded first place in the student poster competition at the North East Graduate Student Water Symposium at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, for her poster entitled A New Method to Accurately Calculate the Allowable Effluent Total Residual Chlorine from Water Resource Recovery Facilities. Co-authors on the work were Benjamin Giese ’16, ’18 and Robert Sharp, Ph.D., professor of civil and environmental engineering.
