welsh is just one event proving an inherent cruelty in man away from killing himself at all times and then witt comes along with naiveté in his pocket and survives in spite of everything. and its like.. hey... maybe things aren't so bad. maybe this world is the good world. then witt dies as soldiers do and its like. well. time to return to nihilism about this.
