Leon and Alfonso arguing about the proper approach to training Roberto as future makai knight.

Well, frankly, I get the argument. I mean... from Leon’s pov he’s used to this kinda early training since it’s been like the way it’s always has been amongst the makai community. Like from what we can see from the original series it’s kinda self-explanatory as well as for the reason why they train their young early of the old/makai ways. Since other than the fact that people of the makai knight/priest bloodline tend to inherit their powers that could be used to fight/banish horrors, they do need to have the strong mental fortitude to be able to fight the creatures of the dark. Even more so for those who aim to be makai knights, since strong mental control was also important esp regarding the skills to control soul metal (swords). 

But I guess for Alfonso, who never grew up in the kind of culture/environment as Leon did, wouldn’t be able to relate to Leon as to the need to train Roberto of the old ways so early.

The first Garo anime season/Honou no kokuin story might have it’s ups and downs tbh... but you have to admit, these two brothers are so cute. And Leon had looked so precious in this movie~ ❤
