𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧 graduated from Harvard University on March 6, 1869, becoming the first black to receive a doctoral degree in dentistry from that school.
