Hi there!

I know tumblr isn't really my main platform anymore, but I wanted to post something here for what followers are active anyway.

You may have noticed I've been posting even less than usual. I made an announcement about the reasoning behind this on twitter back in January, but I've been thinking about it again and wanted to give an explanation here as well. Keep reading if you're interested.

Near the beginning of the year I was feeling very burnt out on fanart. Once more I had fallen into the hole of drawing a lot exclusively for one series. I took a personal step back from dealing with my more recent communities and simply posted art without getting heavily involved in them like I used to with touhou years ago. I figured that would help me preserve my enjoyment of a series much better.

While it has worked (I still adore arknights!) as time goes I find myself branching out more. Every time I switch whatever main fandom I have, I tend to alienate a lot of my audience if it doesn't overlap. Along with the struggling mentality of some of my posts "doing numbers" while others do not, I had decided this year I had enough.

As such, I have only been drawing fanart when I want to draw it, and what I enjoy drawing rather than what I perceive will do well. I have been drawing, just not posting as much. What I have been drawing has centered more around animal based content again, as that as what I have always enjoyed drawing the most. This has done wonders for me personally. For now, I have no plans to go back to regularly posting things weekly.

Thank you all for your support over all these years, it really has meant a lot to me. I will continue to post, just not as frequently for the sake of my own mental health. Stay safe out there!

Addressing an Accusation

Hello everyone,

I’m making a post because I was informed of a message sent about me and some content I drew in the past. I am not sure how many people have received a message such as this, or if this is the only one, but I honestly had no idea this was still something going on. I have never been directly confronted by anyone on this, so I figured I would just clear it up completely now while the issue is (apparently) fresh.

The message in question:

I am assuming this is in regards to this picture in a photoset that I drew back in 2016:

I have never removed the original photoset for transparency’s sake.

At this particular point in time I was 18 years old, and only been in the fandom for a year or so and was not fully aware of Remilia’s canonically childlike tendencies or mental state

All of the Remilia/Satori content I had seen from that time had always portrayed Remilia mentally as an adult with a young body. That was how I had always intended it

Now that I am a full grown adult and have been made aware of Remilia’s mental state, I do not approve of such dynamics and advocate against them

This is a very heavy and serious accusation which not only affects me, but also affects anyone associated with me. I want to make my intentions clear that I absolutely do NOT support any content that portrays children in an inappropriate manner. 

I encourage anyone who has any questions or concerns about my behavior or any art I have posted to please come to me directly. I will be happy to talk anything over with you.
