It was another night in Gotham City and Zatanna was perched watching over the national bank. She glanced down at her suit for a minute, the red and black colors fit in perfectly with the dark night around her. But they weren’t originally her colors.
Shaking her head minutely to banish the thoughts, she gazed back down toward the street. That was how she spotted a figure on another rooftop. One she didn’t recognize. Jumping to the next roof, she made her way towards them

Send me a ☠ for their reaction to waking up in your character’s arms.
Loss of blood was the most obvious cause of her spell of unconsciousness-- it was sloppy to pass out on the battlefield, and yet sometimes it was also inevitable. It very nearly could have ended her life-- had it not been for some quick thinking on the part of another.
Talia never would have said that she trusted Timothy Drake with her life; and yet it was exactly he who had saved her-- though she didn’t realize this until she suddenly sat bolt upright, dragging breath into her lungs with a terrible, hollow gasping noise, followed by a long series of coughs.
As the coughing subsided, she looked to Drake again, acknowledging the young man for the first time since she had woken.
She didn’t thank him. But instead, she did give a slow, deliberate nod of approval in his direction.
