Here’s my opinion on the new Roblox game Wonderland even though absolutely nobody asked for it 😍

I will say that in some ways, I do get the hate. This game has been in development for over two years now, and the game did not meet the expectations of its players in many ways.

Firstly, as I have also played the game, many players note the game is too hard and many cannot even get past the first chase scene in the third room. Leaving players who cannot do very tactile and fast moving tasks as easily behind, even on easy mode. Seeing as most of the playerbase (including myself I died like in 30 seconds lol) did not expect this, I agree that changes must be made.**

But many complaints have also been made towards the overall structure of the game in terms of how the lore is delivered. People still are unsure what the game even is about, and in the beginning we do not even know who we are, nor what this world is. We only know the basics to survive.

**I forgot to also mention the side criticism of checkpoints, meaning the game’s lack of, which for a game with very hard bosses, even I can imagine that would cause frustration to many. It even caused many players to quit in frustration.

I believe this is really what the players are upset about and is why the game is receiving lots of criticism, it’s because the game was advertised as a story based game, giving hints to new creative lore that is unlike other games that pulled in a large audience, but the game failed to deliver, essentially only allowing tryhards to advance in the game.

It is a complete shame to see such a good concept with very well thought out tools (such as the map being an etch a sketch, genius!) and map design receive such a bad reaction.

HOWEVER!

There is still hope! I did decide to take a quick gander over to their official discord page, and on their announcements, it shows that many of these complaints have been heard, and will be addressed in the future or even better, near future!

I don’t know about you guys, but I am mainly excited about the Story mode, as well as the chapter based gaming that got many fans attracted to this game in the first place. Me personally, I find that to be my biggest criticism of the game due to just how much potential these character designs have. Even if it will take till by 2027, in reality, it’s almost September (as I am writing this), so just a bit over 4 months is the longest we will have to wait, if it isn’t finished by December already!

Just as a last section, I don’t want to leave this post by just saying the things that the development team has done wrong, so let’s talk about the things that I love!

Firstly, the map and character designs are amazing! You can tell lots of thought was put into these areas and it really does give off a very unique and creative feel to the project.

Also, if anyone doesn’t want to be spoiled about the ending don’t worry I won’t spoil it fully, however in the last cutscene you can really tell that work was being done with the video at the end, and I think that the mascots were pictured beautifully 💕

Overall, I am mainly just happy that the developers have heard the community’s feedback and will address the issues I’ve spoken about, but I don’t think I will be playing again until that first boss is reworked or until story mode is released. I want to see the full picture of what the lore is as the game progresses when I play. So I think I’ll wait for a bit.

wait wdym there’s already ppl switching up on wonderland n making hate vids/posts about it??

i understand being disappointed but i think some ppl could be blowing this way out of proportion.

plus they devs said that there’s a lot more content that wasn’t included in this initial release n that there will be more updates 2 come including chapter based gameplay, meaning the game and or possibly the story is not fully finished. such a shame..

i hope all this hate doesn’t discourage the devs from developing more of the games nor the fans who still wanna enjoy what the game has to offer and make fan content.

it’s fine if it didn’t turn out to be ur thing, but it rlly does suck to see ppl switching up on it and calling the work of real human artists “slop” just the game didn’t meet certain expectations of theirs.

yall say u wanna support real human artists to fight against ai yet this is how yall react when something doesn’t appeal to u personally. u can dislike and or be disappointed in something without being disrespectful 2 the human artists, devs, (with said devs who were fighting tooth and nail to release this game without anymore future delays), 3D modelers, writers, and coders’ hard work.
