What if I made the robot!submas au really fucking angsty

Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world, everything has gone to shit and hell and it's a wasteland out there

Pokémon are like the future paradox ones in scarlet/violet

Reader is a cyborg ala ironman - human with high tech mechanical bodyparts

And they find gear station in hopes to scavenge for extra parts to upgrade

They find the twins and were about to dismantle them, but accidentally kicks them back to life

They take one look at you and hey guess what

You're the descendant of their beloved mechanic

Who's now very most likely dead since it's been centuries since they went into deep sleep mode for some mysterious reason

But hey, you're here. Hello! Won't you take them on your adventure?

Could you imagine the twins constantly mistaking cyborg!reader for their mechanic that they've descended from?

And at first, it's not that big of a deal, but the more they hang out with each other, the more cyborg!reader slowly becomes infatuated by the twin's shenanigans, those little mistakes start to sting?

Do the twins stay with you because they genuinely like you? Or is it because you just remind them of an old ancestor that you can never hope to live up to?

Would like to ask how the reader pronounces the twin's designations? Do they pronounce it with by the numbers and letters or is it just read as Ingo and Emmet for simplicity? Maybe the reader does interpret their designations into names after getting to know them longer?

You know what, that's a good question.

Reader most likely pronounces their names as how the regular twins were addressed - Ingo and Emmet - since it is easier.

And also I like the thought that the robos like it when people do call them like that because it makes them feel a little more human! The first person to call them as Ingo and Emmet instead of their code names was probably Reader's Grandpa and that kinda spread around the station.

I freaking love Violet Evergarden. Her character is just… *chef’s kiss*

I just love it when the character is an inhuman human (and not in the terrifying psycho or sociopath way - they just have trouble doing normal human things)

Back when I used to roleplay a ton, I made characters based off her and god they were so much fun to play as!! If I ever write robomas, it's just because of that!
