L=A must be a blessing for you now
it was my left elbow that i broke so i can still press a normally but now that im not in a splint i can use the d pad/circle pad easily
also i never knew l=a was from earthbound but i still dont know why its a thing, i guess for left handed people but pressing a isnt such a complex task for your non dominant hand
Ichirin No Hana was the first anime opening I heard that went REALLY hard.
edginess over 9000
FFXV was given a mercy killing, I'd much rather see resources go the FF7 remake once KH3 is done.
id rather square enix just finish the fucking game instead of starting new porjects and killing other ones randomly but thats just too much to ask
former
bowsette removes almost all the actual attractive aspects of bowser (big, strong, massive nerd, good parent, etc) and just makes it pointy slightly edgy peach without any of the fun of actual peach
none of you want to fuck bowser you just want to fuck peach in cosplay
it's a start, Capcom's finally getting their shit together so we gotta take things slow. I expect a Legends 3 announcement in the next 5 years.
i expect a legends 3 announcement roughly 7 years ago
capcom if the game was basically finished fucking finish it then the 3ds is on its way out
I feel a lot of people who call FF7 overrated have never played it and only said so because of the fanfare surrounding it from other people who didn't play it (KH fans and Advent Children secondaries). Creating a weird scenario where the game is actually underrated.
its in a weird position too because i fully expected it to be the kind of game that people look back on as great and was groundbreaking at the time but is really rough around the edges now (resident evil 1 is a good example), but its just been really solid so far (im up to the shinra building right after you get the password from the mayor).
im so glad that a pc port from the 90s is a truer representation of this game than the modern ports of the snes games (no i wont ever stop bitching about that)
thanks eidos!
I think what's the biggest downfall to realism in games is that it makes a game lack identity. I saw a collage of modern western games and they all look the same to me.
kinda sorta
you can still do a strong art direction to give a game an identity with still going for realism, i think my choices in my post (across both western and japanese studios kinda shows that
destiny is “realistic” but alot of the armour designs and enemy designs are more out there (like compare destiny to something like anthem and you’ll kinda see what i mean, anthem is way more on the “realistic side), wolfenstein has strong aesthetic choices for alot of the environment and lighting and a degree of stylisation of character designs, bloodborne’s gothic nightmare/fantasy look, and really the current look of alot of stuff from fromsoftware is so unique i could tell sekiro was the new fromsoft game so early on based on a shot of a field, yakuza’s even got its own quirks that give it away, like the realistic but stylised face models
were it not for the overabundance of realistic games though i dont think thered be as much blowback, but its just a current trend that we’ll eventually (hopefully) move past, and the games that woudl have been realistic anyway will stay that way, and we’ll see more stylised games with more out there art directions
